As it turns out, not posting last week doesn't really matter, as the pound I lost, I regained. The days of simply reducing intake and having significant weight loss are over (I knew this, but if I haven't mentioned it before, I'm verra verra lazy.) So, week four will consist of working out. I bought Just Dance 2 a few weeks ago and have done a couple of songs. HOLY SHIT! How did I used to dance all night? Oh, right? I was fifteen years younger. ::facepalm::
So, I'll report back next week on what and how I did. Also, I'm craving McDonald's French Fries so bad, I could weep. I'm gonna blame Supermoon.
I've got five months to reach my goal weight of 174 pounds before my 39th birthday. It's gonna get ugly before it gets pretty.

Week One
It was an okay week. My major goal was to cut out a few bad habits, and I think I did fairly well. When I got on the scale this morning I weighed 208.4. Almost five pounds. Not bad, but I'm sure most of that is water-weight due to stopping one of the bad habits, my beloved sunflower seeds. Salt on the shells is a bitch, but they are also chocked full of calories.
I've decided to try a 1600 calorie a day diet to see how that works and this week I hope to add in some exercise. I had a cold for most of this week, so that was a no-go.
One thing I did notice is that eating healthier isn't cheap. I think I'm going to check out some of Jaime Oliver's stuff, because I know he did that show recently and any help I can get in making tasty, healthy food and not going bankrupt in the process is a win in my book.

It's an Honest Start
I just went through the very demoralizing task of weighing and measuring myself for the start of my 39X39 journey. Today I start my goal of losing thirty-nine pounds by my thirty-ninth birthday.
I'm terrible at exercising and accountability, so in an effort to make my self actually do this VERY NECESSARY thing for myself, I started this blog. Some of you know me personally and I hope that you join my team of supporters and ass-kickers, as I really do need to drop this weight.
It has become painfully (no really, it is painful--my knees and back ache constantly) obvious to me that my weight has been headed in a very wrong direction for sometime, but I'm one of the laziest people ever, and, as such, I've done nothing about it.
I'm 6" tall so I get a lot of "You're not fat!," but yes, yes I am. Here are the (rough to admit) numbers:
I weigh 213 pounds. I have a 43 inch bust line and my waist and my hips both measure at 42 inches.
What does that look like? It looks like this:
Not very pretty, right? Well, I'm hoping to change that and, if you're so inclined, you can follow me on this journey.
I plan on posting once a week with a summary of my activity and any results. If I find tips worth sharing I'll be sure to add them in.
